Chris brings decades of experience building, scaling, and fixing software platforms across application development, data engineering, and cloud-native architecture. He works hands-on, translating what he finds into plain financial and operational terms leadership can act on.

He treats software as a business asset: one that should generate returns, carry manageable operating costs, and hold its value under scrutiny. That can mean connecting systems, adding useful capability, or addressing constraints in what is already there. He follows the evidence rather than assuming the cause or prescribing a replacement. He diagnoses systems, not people.

Some of this work resembles structural renovation on an occupied building: understand what is carrying the load, keep what works, and plan changes around daily operations.

Chris reinforces existing technical leadership, working shoulder-to-shoulder with engineers where present. He also works directly with owners and executive sponsors, including businesses without a local engineering team. He takes responsibility for agreed engineering work, aiming to raise the ceiling on what the people responsible can carry forward.

He makes the work and operating knowledge accessible, so clients can choose continued support by agreement or a handover to their team or another provider.
